7/21/2012 - DNA Tumor Virus Meeting - Montreal, Canada
NanoVir scientists reported findings linking the activation of DNA damage response (DDR) pathways to the antiviral activity of a series of compounds being developed for treatment of HPV. The compounds, which cause loss of HPV DNA from cells, activate DNA repair pathways in cells that carry the viral DNA. Using an siRNA screen the scientists identified genes within DDR pathways that serve as enhancers and repressors of antiviral activity.
